Five Grandparents came into 4th, 5th and 6th class.
The Grandparents told us about when they were young and in school. This linked with us learning about the 1960's in history. We found out lots of information: -Grandparents walked/cycled to school. -Not all could afford to have a uniform. -They couldn’t afford a television but some had a radio. -Nuns taught the Grandparents. Nuns were way more strict then nowadays. -They had less subjects than us. -They had less exciting times at Christmas. -They did Latin in Primary school and we don’t. If they were lucky, they would get sweets but very rarely. We much prefer school now than when our grandparents were younger!!!! By Mattie, Cillian and Aishling. Comments are closed.
