it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6/12/2018

  • Christmas has arrived in our classroom. We have a lot of decorations up and we are following our advent calendar every day in the count down to Christmas! We are all very excited about the fun times ahead.

  • We have been very busy here in fourth, fifth and sixth class, we have  been making lots of lovely things for the Christmas fair on Sunday 9th of December. We have some very special pieces, not to be missed!!

  • We have also been singing Christmas Carols three mornings a week preparing for the lighting of the Christmas Tree on Sunday 9th of December at 5.30 pm.

  • It's all steam ahead for the Christmas Play! Seeing as it is the 175th anniversary of 'The Christmas Carol', we thought it fitting to put on a similar production this year where we will meet Mr Scrooge and follow him on his journey to finding the Christmas spirit.
Stay tuned for more Christmas news and pictures of all our fun and festive cheer!!

County champions

6/12/2018

We were very lucky to welcome Imokilly hurling teams, Cork County Champions to the school.
Imokilly Hurlers won the Senior Hurling Championship Final against Midleton. We were honoured to have the cup in our school. The children asked a lot of very interesting questions and hopefully one day one of our pupils will bring back another cup to us!! Cork Abú

Did someone say bake???????

6/12/2018

As some of you may know the we, in 4th, 5th and 6th, including Ms Hyde have a sweet tooth so we decided that some baking was in order :)

We made homemade chocolates.

We were able to make these chocolates by using ice cube trays as our mould!!
Step One: Melt the chocolate
Step Two: Coat the chocolate around the ice cube tray and let dry momentarily.
Step Three: Add your filling, this can be anything from rice crispies to marshmallows
Step Four: Add more melted chocolate on the top for a base and freeze
Step Five: EAT and ENJOY!!!!
