On the 25th of April we had our open day. We showed lots of things that we have done in school like countries , computers and maths . We also had puppets which we usually use to learn our Irish . We had new people from the Montessori up to see the classrooms and to play and use the things we had set up. We look forward to seeing these faces again in September in Junior Infants.
On Friday the 13th of April, Willie Cunningham came to the school and told a lot about WW1 to 4th,5th and 6th class. He told us that Aghada had a helicopter base during the WW1, Willie brought a wing/ propeller from a helicopter. He also told us a lot more about WW1 in Ireland. On Friday the 20th of April we went to Aghada Hall to meet some more people who knew lots of things about WW1. They had badges , maps , rocks ,a chair and an outfit for a soldier.
4 girls made confirmation from Whitegate NS in St.Erasmus Church . We went to the church to practise as much as possible to make the day the best it could be . We all had a prayer or a reading to say at the mass . We also made confirmation art to put up in the church. It was a lovely day and we were delighted to be confirmed. We all had a lovely afternoon with our families too.
