We read the book 'Santa Selfie' recently and it was so good we decided to do our own Santa selfie!!!
Our school play this year was Whoops-a-Daisy-Angel. We had a fantastic night performing for our family and friends and everybody was absolutely amazing. Well done :-)
We received some exciting post at the beginning of December...our very own elf!! Santa sent him from the North Pole to make sure we are behaving and he also installed a camera in our classroom so that he can check in on us whenever he wants! We named our elf Elvis and he is getting up to all kinds of mischief at night time when we are not there. One morning we found him inside Ms. Dunne's sweet jar!!
December has been a very busy month in our class. Our theme in Aistear was Christmas and it has definitely gotten us in the festive mood! We set up Santa's workshop where we dressed up as elves and designed, made and wrapped toys for Santa. In our art station we created beautiful Christmas trees and we cut out Christmas pictures to improve our cutting skills. We also made wonderful Christmas objects with playdough and designed Santa's workshop in the construction area! We have very hardworking elves in our class :-)
We had great fun during maths stations recently. Senior Infants copied patterns to their peg boards, 1st class completed a Christmas maths mosaic and Junior Infants played snap with dice patterns, put matching pairs together and ordered numbers without counting!
